How I Created The World’s First NFT For Private Island Access
When Gary Vaynerchuk announced his NFT project Vee Friends, I knew something special was on the way for this technology. So I put in my 500 hours, watching every video, every successful project that had a long term roadmap.
Gary’s project caught my eye because some of his NFT’s were also access tokens to his future conference. I thought of doing the same thing for my future Digital Nomad Festival. But as I thought further, something hit me..
One of the most common attributes that kept sticking out was Community, my forte. I knew I had to step into the space immediately because I’ve built some of the largest online and in-person communities for Digital Nomads. But up until now there was no powerful way to monetize it, nor bring massive value to my people, until now.
I created Digital Nomad Islands because I want to unite this global community of location independent entrepreneurs and free thinkers. Investors, artists, creatives, people who don’t see borders as a limit to the possibilities for collaboration, business opportunity, and personal growth.

Where is the island located & who owns it? Our island is located in Indonesia. It is owned by a wealth family who I’ve partnered with bring commerce to the region. My Indonesian company Globo House International will run all development and operations of the untouched islands including granting exclusive access to my private community.
What exactly I’m I buying You are buying an NFT that represents a membership token as one of the first 5000 members of our distributed private island community.
Will this be a generative NFT project? Yes each individual card will have varied attributes from unique backgrounds and colors of the card, clouds to the type of palm trees, so you’ll have your unique ID to show off.
How many NFT access tokens are you offering? We are offering just 5,000 to founding members around the world and there will only ever be a limited amount of membership slots for our island communities. We’re thinking around 50,000 members but this may change.
Will there be water, electricity, and accommodation on the island? Eventually yes, we are working with an island developer who has already developed the infrastructure on a similar island in Indonesia and he will lead the initiative to have all of these amenities by our opening on Jan 1st, 2023. In terms of accommodation we will offer modest beach houses for rental as well as more luxury options. All services can be paid for with future NFT tokens and/or cryptocurrency.
What blockchain are these NFTs minted on? NFTs minted on the Origin NFT Launchpad are ERC-721 compliant contracts deployed to the Ethereum blockchain. This is the “gold standard” and most widely-supported format for digital collectibles.
When will the NFTs be available for withdrawal/transfer? NFTs will be visible in your collection immediately after purchase. They will be available for withdrawal or transfer to an external wallet within 72 hours following the end of the auction.
When will the airdrops occur? We will airdrop exclusive benefits and perks in the coming months. Sometimes it will be announced, and sometimes it will be a surprise.
What is your return policy? All NFT sales are final. Refunds are not available.

Where are the Islands located? This is a secret that will only be shared with our 5,000 NFT holders for this launch and eventually the total 50,000 ever NFT holders we will ever have. We can tell you that our islands are strategically located within a few hours reach of Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Will I be able to build on the island? It depends, in the future members from select countries without regulatory issues will be able to purchase NFT’s to buy land and build homes on our islands. We continue to monitor the legality of this for community members from all over the world.
Are you starting your own country? Well yes and no. We will abide by the laws and regulations of the countries and international waters in which our islands are located. In the future we plan to apply as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and maybe one day with the evolution of global citizenship become the world’s first network of distributed and decentralized island nations.
Is there fast Wifi on the island? The wifi will be exceptional. Our island may be secret but it has all the amenities needed for a future forward global citizen like you. We will have state of the art wifi via the Starlink (50 MBPS-150 MBPS) when it become available.
Where will Digital Nomad Festival take place? Digital Nomad Festival will take place either on our private island or a chosen central location that allows people from around the world to attend. Only token holders will be able to attend. This should cause the value of the tokens to rise due to speculation and adds to the long term value you get as an owner.
Will the island be accessible to the public? No it won’t. But it will be accessible to the friends and family of token holders. Note there are sometimes locals on the islands. We did not get there first so we preserve culture and respect the few people that do live there with us alongside nature. But random other people not part of our private community will be able to enter.
Do I have to pay for accommodation and food on the island? Yes, the amenities on the island will have to be paid for but food is quite affordable due to access to fresh fish and local foods. In the future you may be able to pay for accommodation with our official virtual currency. In the beginning we will accept cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum.
Is there electricity on the island? Yes we have solar electricity on the island enough to power the island for years to come.
When will we find out the exact location of the island? The exact location of the island will be shared in our private Discord group after our first NFT sales are over and once you submit proof of ownership.
When will the island be open to token holders? On Jan 1st, 2023 the island will become open to all token holders with proof of ownership via the blockchain. Our goal is to have accommodation, fast wifi, and fresh desalinated water on your arrival if you choose to go to the island early.
Can I resell my NFT and make money? Yes you may list your NFT’s on a secondary exchange and make a profit from reselling your token.(edited)
What happens if you don’t sell the whole collection? If we don’t sell all 5,000 NFT’s, the rest will remain on a secondary marketplace and be open to offers from the public on secondary exchanges.
